Nuremburg 2012 Pt.1

by

Welcome to Pt.1 of a two-part extra photo round-up from the Nuremburg 2012 trade expo. You'll find our main report in the April 2012 issue of RCM&E (on sale 9th March) and here we sign off with some more items that we didn't quite have room for in the magazine. Nuremburg is where the world model industry meets to showcase the new products that should (with luck) appear over the next 12 months. It's very very big and it's very busy but, we've done the footwork for you so just sit back then and enjoy the goodies…..

Flying your heli using your touch-sensitive smart phone is on the cards as Silverlit were keen to prove.

Graupner seemed to like their Reno racers this year, this is their new Yak 11 – 1720mm span to suit 1.20 two-stroke or equivalents.

Distinctively SebArt, this is their new SBach 50e for a Hacker A50-16S and 6 Li-Po cells.

….and this is their new Mythos 125e. Spanning 180cm, it's for your Hacker A60-6XS and, again, 6 Li-Po cells.

Following on from the release of their recent XG8, JR unveilled their entry-level XG6.

We quite liked Fly Fly's friendly poster.

Black Horse's Wyvern in all it's unusual 88" span glory. It'll require a 50-55cc petrol engine and includes retracts and oleos.

Black Horse are on a big warbird roll – this is their new 87" span Hurricane, again for a 50-55cc petrol engine and, again, retracts and oleos are included.

Floats are optional with ST Model's new EPO foam Beaver – the RTF model will be £154.99 and the float set £15.99.

Another view of the Black Horse Hurricane.

Black Horse again and this time their 76" span Sea Fury. It'll be £419.99 to include air retracts and sprung oleos.

One of Seagull's new EP range, this 35" span MXS-R is a sweet little aeroplane. First deliveries are expected in April.

They've a real penchant for civilian subjects have Seagull. This is their 72" span Piper Comanche PA-24. It's a home for your .91-1.20 four-stroke.

Mr Alfa Model, the charming Antonin Alfrey, was promoting his firm's fine micro warbirds (above right).

We liked Pichler's Speed club sporster, let's hope Area 51 Distribution can bring some into the UK.

This 86" span BF-109E is Black Horse again and requires a 50-55cc petrol engine.

That's it for part one, check back soon for another final photo round-up.
