Keenly awaited, E-flite’s Ultra Micro 4-Site has just arrived in the UK.
It’s tiny, with a span of just 15.2″ (387mm) and weighing 1.25oz (35.5g). The packaging and presentation formula is much like sister brand Parkzone so it’s available Plug ‘n’ Play with or without a 150mAh battery and multi-charger (£99.99 and £69.99) and ready to bind to any DSM2 radio. The model flies using the standard single cell Li-Po common to many indoor aircraft and helicopters.
E-flite say they’ve used a new stamped foam manufacturing technique that results in wing, fuselage and tail parts that are “lighter, stiffer and more durable than standard sheet foam”. The parts are re-inforced with carbon rod and foam bracing to minimise flexing and twisting.
She’s a 4-channel machine and designed “for experienced 3D foamy pilots” so a radio with dual rates and exponential is essential. More info here at the Horizon Hobby UK site.
