One of the year's most keenly awaited releases is just going on sale in the form of this very pretty Supermarine Seafire. It has been designed in the UK in co-operation with the Fleet Air Arm Museum and distributed to all model shops by J.Perkins through its E-Scale brand. The model is a full ARTF kit with a laser-cut airframe, genuine Oracover covering and full hardware including retracts, oleos, wheels, spinner, aerial mast, dummy exhausts and pilot.
It spans 64", weighs in at around 9lbs and will suit a .91 four-stroke (or two-stroke equivalent) perfectly while a full electric conversion kit is also included. We're told that Oracover had to develop a new sea grey coloured covering film for the model and, as you can see, they've got the hue just spot on.
The model uses flaps and of note is the large cowl that sweeps back on the underside to form the air intake. The RRP is £229.99.
