February 2025

Editor Kevin Crozier talks us through what the expect in the new February edition of RCM&E.

Here’s a quick look at some of the main articles in this month’s magazine.

John Daniels starts the ball rolling with a review of two micro models from Volantex, the Sport Cub and the new brushless 400 mm P-51D Mustang.

Danny Fenton (Make It Scale) prepares his models for the British Scale Nationals, including fettling his Brian Taylor Hurricane for the F4C comp, then it’s over to Chris Williams (Scale Gliding) who maidens his latest ASK18, now at just over 1/4 scale.

In the past two issues we’ve been following Roy Thompson as he restores a Bowman Miles Magister back to flying condition; this time we join Roy as his latest scale model takes to the air.

Our pull-out Pro-Plan this month is courtesy of Ton van Munsteren who presents his delightful New Style glider; it’ll be an ideal winter build without breaking the bank.

Barry Stevens gets ready to top up his LiPo collection as he tests Overlander’s new RC-S100neo charger, then Dave Goodenough (One Man & His Shed) joins us with more clubman topics, including extolling the virtues of lightweight closed loop control systems.

John Stennard (Insider) looks back at the IFO series of indoor models, then we join Steve Tew at the Prestbury Park scale heli meet.

Finally, Kevin Crozier signs things off with a look at DJI’s Neo palm size drone.
