Hangar 9’s new P-40 has just arrived in the UK and represents the under-modelled early version adopting the scheme used by George Welch, one of the few airmen who managed to engage the Japanese during the Pearl Harbour attack.
The model joins the fledging 50-size range christened by last year's Corsair and suits a .46 – .52 two-stroke or .72 – .82 four-stroke engines or an E-flite Power 52 outrunner and five Li-Po cells for which the removable top hatch provides convenient access to the interior for pack changing.

It doesn't use flaps and although supplied with fixed gear, it’s designed to accept E-flite’s electric twist and turn units for which scale wheels are included.
This looks to be another practical club scale warbird from Horizon for which the RRP is £184.99. Look out for the RCM&E review soon. www.horizonhobby.co.uk
